JuggleJoy teaches weeklong Circus Residency

at Highcrest School, Wethersfield, CT

JuggleJoy spent the week of March 30 to April 3, 2009 at Highcrest Elementary School in Wethersfield, CT teaching Circus Skills to all the phys ed classes with the outstanding help of Phys Ed teacher Kevin Kobelski.

This is a picture of JuggleJoy teachers Keith Hughes (far left) and M.J. Moriarty (far right) with Maresa Harvey the Principal in the middle.

Mrs. Harvey and especially Kevin Kobelski the Phys Ed teacher made us feel so welcome. We had a Great Time working with the 480 students of Highcrest Elementary School, pre-K to 6th grade.

On Friday April 3, 2009 the entire school put on a Circus Extravaganza in the gym. The students performed for 90 minutes for each other and their teachers.

First grade juggled small scarves then, Clowndergarten aka-Kindergarten performed their Clown Exercises, Second Grade juggled giant Scarves, Third Grade juggled Rings and Balanced PeacockFeathers, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grades Juggled Balls, Spun Diabolos, Floated and Flipped Dance Stix, and Manipulated Spinning Plates.

At the end of the show the Sixth Grade Rode Unicycles to a cheering crowd, the Fifth Grade Walked Stilts to lots of applause, and the Fourth Grade finished the show by Spinning Poi all over the gym.

It was so exciting for MJ and Keith to see all the hard work the students had done displayed in a wonderful celebration of skills.

We can't wait to go back to Highcrest School and be a part of this Great School!
